Metanoia Will Destroy Ya — Full Lyrics
(Original lyrics — transformation rock, SeeSaw-aligned)
CHORUS (Hook)
Metanoia will destroy ya,
Break the lies that once employed ya.
Flip your heart like a holy paranoia —
Truth comes in, and the old world voids ya.
VERSE 1
You were running on the fumes of fear,
Shadowboxing ghosts that weren’t even here.
Every whisper felt like judgment day,
Till the compass in your chest turned the other way.
Now the fog starts clearing in your mind,
You’re seeing all the traps you left behind.
Grace hits hard like a rebel choir —
Burns the script of your old desires.
CHORUS
Metanoia will destroy ya,
Break the lies that once employed ya.
Flip your heart like a holy paranoia —
Truth comes in, and the old world voids ya.
VERSE 2
You were living in a loop of doubt,
Every step felt like a wrong turn out.
But the moment that your soul said “no,”
Everything you feared lost its radio.
Now you’re walking with a different stride,
Storms still hit but you don’t run and hide.
Love rewired every old misfire —
Now your pulse beats kingdom-higher.
CHORUS
Metanoia will destroy ya,
Break the lies that once employed ya.
Flip your heart like a holy paranoia —
Truth comes in, and the old world voids ya.
BRIDGE
It’s the rupture of the false self,
The cracking of the cage.
It’s the turning of the inner wheel,
The burning of the rage.
It’s the moment when the soul says,
“I’m done being afraid.”
And the truth hits like a streetlight
On the night you finally change.
FINAL CHORUS (Bigger, louder)
Metanoia will destroy ya,
Break the lies that once employed ya.
Flip your heart like a holy paranoia —
Truth comes in, and the old world voids ya.
Metanoia will restore ya,
Build the life that’s waiting for ya.
When the Spirit starts to move in ya —
Everything that’s false can’t hold ya.
What Is Metanoia?
A Transformation That Touches Everything
Faith involves a change of life, a metanoia — a profound transformation of mind and heart — that causes the believer to live that conversion. This transformation manifests itself at all levels of the Christian’s existence: in interior life, in action, in participation in the mission of the Church, in married and family life, in professional life, in fulfilling economic and social responsibilities.
Metanoia is not a moment. It is a direction. A life-long orientation toward God — chosen again and again, especially in the confessional, especially in prayer, especially in the hard moments when the old self wants to reassert itself.
The good thief on the cross is perhaps the most dramatic proof: on the Cross, an extreme act of forgiveness and hope was given to the evildoer who made his metanoia when he arrived at the final frontier between life and death, acknowledging that he was receiving the due reward for his deeds.
Even there. Even then. Metanoia is always possible.
